ALOHA INT. Competition – 6 Jun 2010, Hangzhou, China.

Aloha International along with Zheijiang Abacus and Xinsuan Association of China conducted the 1st leg of the “Aloha International Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition 2010″ on 6th of Jun 2010. The event which is eagerly awaited by all Aloha students took place at Zhejiang Hangzhou Railway Station Hotel, Hangzhou Zheijiang Province China. Around 1688 students took part in the Competition. The vent was conducted over 3 Sundays – on the 6th ,13th and 20th of June at the venue.

Aloha Students from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Spain and China participated in the event. The competition was conducted in 10 categories. The children were given 2 sets of paper of 70 sums each which they had to answer in the short time of 5 mins. The best of the two was considered as a final score. The e vent was graced by the President of the Zhejiang Abacus and Xinsuan Association of China, Govt officials from the Education Dept of Zhejiang; China . The noon of the competition culminated with the participants receiving their participation trophies and certificates.

75% of the children who have taken part in this first leg are qualified registered and promoted to the 2nd leg of Competition to be held on 8th Aug 2010 at Malacca Air Keroh Country Resort, Malaysia.

All participants with their friends and family truly enjoyed themselves exploring the City of Hangzhou and visiting the Shanghai City Expo currently being held at Shanghai, China drawing millions of visitors across the globe. Whilst all Aloha officials culminated their trip by visiting local schools in Hangzhou the next day.
